Our client is a well-established organization with a growing accounting team. They are looking for an Accountant with strong Accounts Payable experience to support day-to-day accounting operations and contribute to accurate and efficient financial processes.

The Accountant will primarily focus on Accounts Payable while supporting general accounting functions and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities include:
Process a high volume of invoices, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, and timely payment
Process employee expense reports and ensure expenses are properly coded and documented
Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items
The Accountant will maintain organized vendor records and ensure accurate general ledger coding
Support month-end close activities, including AP reporting, accruals, and account reconciliations
The Accountant will assist with general accounting functions and financial reporting as needed
Partner with internal departments to research and resolve invoice, vendor, expense report, and payment issues
Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with internal policies and accounting standards
Strong Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment
Previous experience processing employee expense reports required
Previous accounting experience with knowledge of general ledger processes and reconciliations
Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system required
Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
