Our client is seeking an Accounting & Advisory Manager who will act as a trusted advisor to middle market businesses, providing strategic financial guidance and outsourced advisory support. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working directly with clients, addressing complex financial challenges, and helping leadership teams navigate forecasting, financial modeling, cash flow planning, and operational decision making. This is not a traditional corporate accounting or controllership role; it is a dynamic advisory position serving multiple external clients.
Client advisory leadership — Serve as the primary advisor and relationship manager for a portfolio of advisory clients.
Strategic financial consulting — Provide strategic financial guidance to business owners, executives, and leadership teams.
Engagement management — Lead engagements involving budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, financial modeling, KPI reporting, and operational decision support.
Financial presentations — Present financial insights, business trends, and strategic recommendations to clients and boards.
Complex financial translation — Convert complex financial information into clear, actionable guidance for non financial stakeholders.
Concurrent engagement oversight — Manage multiple advisory engagements within a professional services environment.
Team supervision — Supervise and mentor advisory staff while ensuring high quality client deliverables.
Firm collaboration — Work with firm leadership on client growth opportunities and expansion of advisory services.
Transaction support — Assist with occasional transaction advisory or due diligence engagements as needed.
7+ years of experience in accounting advisory, financial consulting, CAS, FP&A consulting, outsourced CFO services, or public accounting advisory.
Strong background managing external client relationships in consulting or professional services.
Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial analysis.
Experience leading advisory engagements and presenting recommendations to executive leadership.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and advise clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
