Accounting Analyst

Our client is a Private Equity backed manufacturing and distribution company located on the southwest side of Houston. The company is extremely profitable and growing at a rapid pace, and they seek an Accounting Analyst to join their team to help support their growth. They seek a hard working professional with an Accounting degree. They will consider new grads up to two years of experience. This is an entrepreneurial environment, so you must be comfortable with constant change and many diverse responsibilities. The role reports directly to the company CFO and offers significant career development potential. We work closely with the extremely successful PE sponsor, and they have big plans for this company!  

Position Description: 

• Assist with monthly financial close process, including monthly financial reporting package.
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for monthly adjusting entries.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Perform day-to-day general accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries and other month-end adjustments.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Assist with inventory/cost accounting, fixed asset accounting and other general ledger activities.

Requirements and Preferences:

• Accounting degree is required. 
• Zero to two years of accounting experience is preferred.
• Someone who seeks to become a CPA is preferred.
• A strong aptitude for technology is preferred.
• A desire to experiment and utilize AI to make business processes more efficient is a huge plus.
