Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Entry-Level Accounting Assistant. This role focuses on supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining financial records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting the finance team with routine accounting tasks.

Responsibilities
- Process invoices and payment requests
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Reconcile financial records and account balances
- Maintain accurate accounting documentation and files
- Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and financial summaries
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Review financial data for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with expense reporting and reimbursement processing
- Enter financial transactions into accounting systems
- Collaborate with internal departments on finance-related requests
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 0–2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, administration, or related roles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
