Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Pay: $25-$35 per hour
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

As an Accounting Assistant, you'll support high-quality accounting and advisory services for a diverse client base. You'll work closely with a collaborative team of accounting and advisory professionals to deliver results that make a difference.
What You'll Do
As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for
Maintain accurate client financial records using QuickBooks Online, payroll platforms, and Microsoft Excel
Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
Process payroll and prepare related tax filings, including Forms 1099 and W-2
Prepare financial statements and assist with tax returns, audits, grant compliance, and operational improvements
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have
An associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or at least two years of accounting experience
Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online and strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills
The ability to read and interpret financial statements
Excellent organization, communication, attention to detail, and client service skills

Location & Schedule
This position is on-site in Scarborough and offers Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, with a four-day summer schedule from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
