Accounting Specialist

Location: Janesville, WI
Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour
Job Type: Temporary, 6+ months with potential for long-term employment

Adecco is hiring an Accounting Specialist for a manufacturing company in Janesville, WI! This position supports daily accounting operations, including invoicing, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and project costing.

This is an opportunity to join an established manufacturing company in a role expected to last at least six months, with the potential to continue long term for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing financial reports, including general ledger, cash projections, accounts receivable, and sales and use tax returns.

• Process customer invoices and sales order invoices.

• Post cash receipts and assist with bank reconciliations.

• Review budgets for projects in progress and assist with annual fiscal budgeting.

• Assist with project costing and other accounting functions.

• Access online banking systems to support daily accounting activities.

• Create and update company documents using Microsoft Office.

• Maintain accurate and timely financial records.

• Assist with additional accounting duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or a related field preferred, or 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Experience with accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, or other general accounting functions.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with accounting software, databases, and spreadsheets.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Good math, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.

Position Details

• Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

• Location: Janesville, WI.

• Duration: 6 months or longer, with potential for long-term employment.

• Work arrangement: On-site; this is not a remote position.
