    Position: Accountant Associate - AP & General Accounting

    Location: Denver, CO
     
    Overview:
     
    E.A. Buck is a fast-growing financial services company with dual headquarters in Denver and Honolulu. We’re seeking an Accountant Associate - AP & General Accounting to join our growing team in the Denver, CO office! This position will help oversee the firm’s day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations, cash receipts, and journal entries.
     
    The Accountant Associate - AP & General Accounting will also support monthly financial reporting, planning, and analysis. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple accounting responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.
     
    Only current Colorado residents will be considered.
     
    What You’ll Do:
    • Manage daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipt activity.
    • Enter, code, and process invoices, disbursements, and electronic payments.
    • Prepare checks and maintain accurate payment records.
    • Reconcile bank accounts, deposits, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
    • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
    • Generate invoices and maintain current accounting records.
    • Process recurring state tax payments and assist with annual 1099 reporting.
    • Support ACH Positive Pay and other banking controls.
    • Maintain organized accounting files and supporting documentation.
    • Assist with monthly financial reporting, analysis, and special projects.
     
    What We’re Looking For:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
    • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Job offer is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation, inclusive of fingerprinting and reference checks.
     
     
    Bonus Points:
    • 2-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
    • Previous experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
    • Public accounting experience is a plus.

    Pay & Perks:
    • Base salary range of $52,500 to $62,500 per year, based on experience.
