Accounting Clerk

Job Summary

A manufacturing company in Downey, CA is seeking an Accounting Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 3 to 5 years of experience who is comfortable supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting operations in a fast-paced business environment.

The Accounting Clerk will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting vendor and customer account activity, and helping the accounting team meet daily and month-end deadlines. Key Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable invoices, verify accuracy, match supporting documentation, and prepare payments for approval.
- Support accounts receivable functions, including invoice preparation, payment posting, and customer account follow-up.
- Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, bank activity, and general ledger-related transactions as assigned.
- Maintain organized accounting records, assist with data entry, filing, and documentation for audits or internal review.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies.
- Assist the accounting team with month-end close tasks and other administrative accounting duties as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: Downey, CA.
