Overview

LHH is partnering with a high-growth, dynamic organization to identify a Senior Manager, Accounting Compliance to join their corporate accounting team. This role offers a unique blend of compliance, audit leadership, and operational accounting, serving as a key right-hand partner to executive leadership.

This is not a traditional compliance-only position-this role operates as an Assistant Controller-type leader, driving critical initiatives across accounting operations, reporting, and system improvements. Ideal for professionals seeking high visibility, ownership, and long-term growth potential within a fast-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and enhance internal controls and accounting compliance processes

  • Lead and project manage the annual external audit

  • Support month-end close, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting

  • Partner with leadership as a key contributor across accounting operations

  • Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements

  • Support ERP initiatives, including system implementations and optimization efforts

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operational teams, including inventory and field operations

  • Step in across the accounting function to address gaps and support critical priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • ~8+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Strong background in audit, technical accounting, and financial reporting

  • Experience with month-end close and internal controls frameworks

  • Exposure to ERP systems and process improvement initiatives

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments

Preferred:

  • Background in logistics, fulfillment, or inventory-driven industries

  • Experience in system implementations or automation initiatives

What We're Looking For

This role prioritizes mindset and adaptability as much as technical expertise:

  • Hands-on, "roll-up-your-sleeves" approach

  • Highly resourceful and solutions-oriented

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • Curious mindset with interest in process improvement and emerging technologies

  • Team-oriented with the ability to flex between strategic and operational work

The Opportunity

  • High visibility with executive leadership

  • Clear path toward Assistant Controller-level responsibilities

  • Exposure to M&A activity, complex transactions, and system transformations

  • Opportunity to help build and scale processes within a growing organization

  • Potential involvement in long-term strategic initiatives, including future exit readiness
