Accounting/Filing Clerk SMS Transportation Services Inc - Los Angeles, CA 90017Overview Salary Range $22.00 - $25.00 Hourly Job Shift DayDescription Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting / Filing Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting the accounting department through billing, audits, cash deposits, and maintaining HR records. The ideal candidate is proficient with computers, has strong organizational skills, and is comfortable learning additional responsibilities to support our dispatch team with customer service.ResponsibilitiesProcess monthly customer billing accurately and on time.Perform simple weekly audits of transportation routes.Prepare and reconcile weekly cash deposits.Maintain and organize employee HR files, including required credentials and certifications.Ensure filing systems remain accurate, organized, and up to date.Enter and maintain data using Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.Assist with general administrative and clerical duties as needed.Answer incoming phone calls professionally and provide excellent customer service.Cross-train to assist the dispatch department with scheduling and customer support.QualificationsPrevious accounting, bookkeeping, clerical, or office administrative experience preferred.Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.Reliable, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality.BenefitsCompetitive pay: $22.00$25.00 per hour, based on experience.On-the-job training for dispatch support.Opportunity to grow within a supportive team environment.Medical & Dental401k & 401k match
