Accounting & Finance Manager

HEAL Wellness & Innovations is a growing health, wellness, and medical-products company serving consumers, healthcare providers, and professional offices through direct-to-consumer, business-to-business, wholesale/distributor, marketplace, and strategic-partnership channels.

Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting & Finance manager is HEAL’s hands-on accounting leader, responsible for the integrity of financial records and for scalable accounting operations, reporting, controls, inventory and cost accounting, revenue, payroll, tax coordination, and day-to-day treasury. The role supports the external accounting team and moves confidently between accounting and executive analysis while handling budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, profitability, pricing, partnership economics, and strategic initiatives in an evolving entrepreneurial environment.

 CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the GL, AP, AR, cash management, reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, leases, and financial reporting structures.
  • Run monthly, quarterly, and annual closes; prepare timely GAAP financial statements; ensure material accounts are reconciled, reviewed, documented, supported, and audit-ready.
  • Deliver monthly management reporting covering results, operating metrics, variances, cash flow, and key risks.
  • Oversee revenue recognition, contract compliance, and financial terms across customer, provider, distributor, and commercial agreements.
  • Reconcile e-commerce platforms, merchant processors, deposits, sales, refunds, chargebacks, discounts, and credits; oversee B2B billing.
  • Accurately account for returns, promotions, samples, rebates, incentives, and commissions.
  • Own inventory reconciliation, valuation, reserves, and reporting across company and third-party locations; maintain product costing for supplier/contract-manufacturing cost, and all other COGS components by SKU.
  • Lead budget and forecast mechanics under the CFO, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, inventory, headcount, capex, and actual-to-plan analysis; identify drivers and corrective actions.
  • Model new products, pricing; report profitability by SKU, maintain decision-oriented dashboards for margin, inventory, returns, chargebacks, DSO, working capital, cash conversion, and forecast accuracy.
  • Oversee daily cash, banking, receipts, disbursements, liquidity, rolling cash forecasts, financing, lender/investor requests, and working-capital opportunities.
  • Design, document, implement, and monitor private-company controls, segregation of duties, compensating controls, and delegated authority.
  • Partner with IT/system on access, data integrity, change control, backups, and security.
  • Support Quality and Operations with traceability, inventory disposition, returns, etc.
  • Oversee payroll and related accounting.
  • Partner with HR on people management.
  • Coordinate federal, state, and local income, franchise, sales/use, payroll, property, and other taxes.
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable external accounting service providers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field; 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and demonstrated ownership of close, financial statements, reconciliations, audits, policies, controls, payroll accounting, tax coordination, cash, AP/AR, and technical-accounting research and documentation.
  • Meaningful physical-product inventory and cost-accounting experience.
  • Experience supervising employees or third-party providers; advanced Excel skills for models, analysis, reconciliations, and reporting; ERP/accounting-system experience and integrations with inventory, e-commerce, payroll, or merchant platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to explain finance to non-financial audiences, protect confidential information, work on-site in Riverton, and manage competing priorities in a rapidly evolving environment.

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field; 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and demonstrated ownership of close, financial statements, reconciliations, audits, policies, controls, payroll accounting, tax coordination, cash, AP/AR, and technical-accounting research and documentation.
  • Meaningful physical-product inventory and cost-accounting experience.
  • Experience supervising employees or third-party providers; advanced Excel skills for models, analysis, reconciliations, and reporting; ERP/accounting-system experience and integrations with inventory, e-commerce, payroll, or merchant platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to explain finance to non-financial audiences, protect confidential information, work on-site in Riverton, and manage competing priorities in a rapidly evolving environment.
