Green River College is seeking an adjunct (part-time) instructor to teach associate- and bachelor's-level accounting courses, including:
Adjunct instructors are appointed quarter-to-quarter based on student enrollment. They teach classes on the days and in the modalities assigned by the College. Accounting classes may be scheduled for weekday mornings, evenings, or online. This is not a remote position. Applicants must reside in Washington State. Green River College's student body is made up of approximately 41% Academic Transfer students, 34% Professional-Technical students, 15% Adult Basic Education student, and 3% Applied Bachelor degrees. Green River College has four campuses, including the main campus in Auburn, Washington, with satellite campuses in Kent, downtown Auburn, and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates, Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college), those seeking retraining for the workforce, international students, students learning English, and Continuing Education students. The adjunct instructor's primary function is to teach students and help them to meet their educational goals. Courses will be taught in accordance with approved course descriptions and outcomes, and with class syllabi developed by individual instructors in accordance with approved syllabus policy.

The adjunct instructor's secondary function is to facilitate appropriate operational policies and procedures of Green River College.
Minimum qualifications:
Degrees must be conferred by a regionally accredited college or university.
Preferred qualifications: CPA license, CMA credential, master's degree in accounting or business administration, two year's work experience in accounting, current experience using Excel and QuickBooks Online, successful teaching experience at the college level.
This is an adjunct faculty position. The salary will be determined according to the candidate's educational background, teaching experience, and applicable work experience as stipulated in the Green River College Agreement (contract bargaining agreement).
