Position Summary
\n
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations with a strong focus on accounts payable, financial reporting, and process improvement. This individual will oversee the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, manage month-end and year-end close activities, and play a critical role in transitioning the organization to a best-in-class 3-Way Match invoice processing environment.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, ERP experience, and a passion for driving operational excellence through automation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
\n

- Lead the daily accounting operations related to accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, vendor reconciliations, and financial transactions.
- \n
- Manage critical month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial information is accurate.
- \n
- Drive the implementation and ongoing management of a 3-Way Match invoice processing environment by partnering with internal departments and external vendors.
- \n
- Develop, document, and implement standardized accounting processes, internal controls, and workflows that improve accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- \n
- Identify and lead automation and process improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity.
- \n
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and departmental metrics to ensure operational excellence.
- \n
- Perform monthly profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet fluctuation analyses for assigned accounts.
- \n
- Maintain a strong internal control environment while ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
- \n
- Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, requested documentation, and Prepared by Client (PBC) items.
- \n
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- \n
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support accounting initiatives, system enhancements, and business process improvements.
- \n
- Complete special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned.

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- \n
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience.
- \n
- At least three (3) years of leadership or supervisory experience managing accounting teams.
- \n
- Public accounting experience is a plus.
- \n
- Demonstrated experience managing a 3-Way Match invoice processing environment.
- \n
- Strong experience with Oracle Retail or other ERP systems; system implementation or enhancement experience is highly preferred.
- \n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with financial reporting tools.
- \n
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
- \n
- Proven success driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
- \n
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- \n
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
