Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee the company's day-to-day accounting, HR, and business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and direct experience working closely with operational supervision to drive timely and accurate job and financial reporting. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading change management in technologic enhancements in support of growth.

Job Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager:

• 
  
• Manage the company's day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• 
  
• Ensure timely and accurate job cost information, including reporting weekly operational KPIs that drive behavior.
• 
  
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations and month end close.
• 
  
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• 
  
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• 
  
• Assist with employee relations, performance, attendance, and workplace concerns.
• 
  
• Help maintain company policies and procedures.
• 
  
• Coordinate with payroll, benefits, insurance, and HR providers.
• 
  
• Manage vendor and service-provider relationships.
• 
  
• Assist with purchasing, contracts, office management, and other administrative needs.
• 
  
• Monitor operating expenses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• 
  
• The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising 5–6 direct reports on a monthly basis.
• 
  
• The day to day operations of driving business growth and development are instrumental.
• 
  

Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:

• 
  
• 5+ years of progressive accounting, bookkeeping, operations, or business management experience.
• 
  
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and day-to-day bookkeeping.
• 
  
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payroll.
• 
  
• Experience with HR administration and employee relations preferred.
• 
  
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• 
  
• Comfortable working directly with ownership, employees, vendors, and outside professionals.
• 
  
• Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information with discretion.
• 
  
• Construction experience including percentage of completion accounting and leading monthly work in process reviews strongly preferred
• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent combined hands-on experience and education).
• 
  
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct accounting software highly preferred.
• 
  

Compensation & Benefits for the Accounting Manager:

$80,000 - $90,000 Annually (DOE)

Full benefits provided - 401k and possibly bonus and equity stock options (to be discussed as part of broader comp package)
