Senior Accounting Manager 

Our manufacturing and consumer products client in the Brattleboro, VT area is seeking to hire a Senior Accounting Manager. This is an excellent Direct Hire opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to lead a talented team, drive process improvements, and play a key role in financial reporting and business decision-making. Your qualifications for the Senior Accounting Manager position are:

• Accounting degree preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets
• 3+ years of experience leading and developing accounting staff
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

For the Senior Accounting Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger activities
• Oversee monthly and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Review financial statements, analyze results, and provide insights to support business decisions
• Manage government filings, compliance requirements, and accounting controls
• Develop, coach, and mentor a team of accounting professionals
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and increase efficiency
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to support organizational goals
