Position Summary
The Accounting Manager - Cattle Procurement & General Accounting is responsible for overseeing accounting activities related to cattle procurement while developing a broad understanding of Greater Omaha Packings accounting operations. Initially, the role will focus primarily on cattle procurement accounting, treasury activities, and related reporting responsibilities, with the expectation of gradually assuming broader responsibilities across general accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and management functions.
The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, identifying and mitigating risks, implementing effective internal controls, overseeing banking and payment activities, managing tax and regulatory reporting, and driving continuous process improvements. As business needs evolve, the role will assume additional accounting responsibilities and play a critical role in strengthening the Companys financial processes and control environment.
