The Accounting Manager position is within our KOST USA division and will lead daily accounting activities, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and drive enhancements in controls and procedures that support a growing, dynamic business within our Cincinnati facility.
This is a key leadership role ideal for someone ready to step into management while remaining actively involved in the monthly close and continuous process improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, promoting accountability, accuracy, and professional development.
- Manage daily accounting operations, overseeing all areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting, bank and cash management.
- Lead the monthly close process - oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Treasury, Tax, and FP&A to support intercompany transactions, cash management, and other financial activities.
- Partner with the Controller on monthly reporting packages, audit preparation, and compliance initiatives.
- Review & Approve T&E Expenses as well as Payroll Journal Entries.
- Assist with external audit and any reporting to the corporate office.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (emphasis in accounting)
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing accounting operations and teams.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint).
- Experience using ERP software is required.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
