Financial Additions has a client seeking an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role will oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial analysis, compliance, and process improvement initiatives while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Financial Additions has a client seeking an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role will oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial analysis, compliance, and process improvement initiatives while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Oversee general ledger activity, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
- Review project accounting, WIP reports, progress billings, retainage, and contract-related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and tax reporting requirements.
- Support fixed asset accounting, sales and use tax reconciliations, and audit requests.
- Analyze financial results and provide reporting to management.
- Assist with ERP implementations, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and manage competing priorities.
- Experience working within large enterprise organizations ($500M+ revenue) with complex, multi-entity accounting structures.
- Prior experience supporting high-volume accounting operations, shared service environments, or publicly traded companies.
- Experience with large-scale ERP platforms such as Infor M3.
