Key job responsibilities

The Accounting Manager will primarily be responsible for monthly Chart of Account review and approvals managing Amazon"s Corporate Allocations impacting external reporting (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and internal management reporting. They will also assist with quarterly SEC deliverable preparation and review. This role will require significant collaboration with internal stakeholders within and outside of the accounting organization, including Finance, Tax and Statutory Accounting teams.

The Accounting Manager is expected to identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities, and to drive impactful global projects. Financial reporting research and position paper writing are required.

About the team

The Corporate Reporting - Close Management team leads the worldwide accounting month-end and quarter-end close process by establishing close calendars and coordinating with Accounting, Tax teams to ensure books are closed on time for external (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and internal management reporting. In addition to owning Amazon's Chart of Accounts and corresponding policy, as well as Amazon"s Corporate Allocations.
