Salary: $145,000 - $165,000 per yearRelocation Assistance: AvailableAccounting Manager - Hybrid Schedule AvailableWell established, highly profitable regional CPA firm seeks an Accounting Manager to specialize in client accounting, including full charge bookkeeping, trial balance, payroll, KPI reporting, etc. for diverse, exciting clients. We offer a very reasonable work life balance, excellent benefits including large potential bonuses and a 5% employer contribution to your 401K program, a choice of both SEC and closely held clients to work on across diverse industry groups, and fast track career progression.Managers oversee client accounts which includes being responsible for client communications and ensuring that the engagement is executed by team members in accordance with its scope.Additionally, Managers are responsible for delegating duties to Senior Accountants, Staff and Interns. They review their work and providing them with the necessary supervision and training. Managers also perform business development functions and are involved with prospective client proposals.ResponsibilitiesOversee engagement teams on multiple engagements to ensure work is performed in adherence to engagement scope. This can include but is not limited to:Maintaining bank, vendor and payroll records for the clientPreparing month or period end packages under either the accruals (US GAAP or IFRS) or cash basis accountingAssisting clients with the preparation and/or maintenance of budgets, forecasts or projectionsBuilding, preparing or analyzing dashboards or KPI metrics for the clientEnsure all client timelines are met and clear communications exist between the client and engagement teamInteract with clients on a frequent basis (i.e., daily, weekly or monthly), as needed under the scope of each engagement or delegates to senior or staffEnsure all team members adhere to engagement budgets; minimize and analyze any overrunsInvoices clients at least monthly and follows up on any aged accounts receivable balancesPerforms team training and business development activities. This can include traveling to other firm locations or networking events.Qualifications/RequirementsMinimum of 7-10 years' experience in the accounting field, with recent time spent as an account manager or equivalent in either an industry finance position, or public accountingProven thorough understanding of double entry accounting. Demonstrated performance of accounting tasks (both processing and transactions and maintenance of accounting records)Demonstrated understanding of U.S GAAP and possess sufficient working knowledge of taxation matters including but not limited to individual taxation, corporate taxation and related tax structures, sales taxes and property & business taxes.Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally in accounting or a related fieldDemonstrated ability to communicate (i.e., read, write, speak) with business level fluency in EnglishAbility to travel to client or other firm office locations, as necessaryStrong computer skills including proficiency in excel. Knowledge of at least one accounting software program, such as QuickBooks onlineSelf-starter; proven ability to identify issues and recommend solutions. Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when requiredOccasional overtime work required throughout the year.Preferred qualificationsKnowledge of and/or experience with additional accounting software programs which can include, but not limited to; Xero, Intacct, NetSuite, Bill.com or ConcurBi-lingual in Spanish or second language an advantagePossesses a specialized accounting knowledge in either a particular industry or accounting areaHolds a current and valid CPA license, or equivalent#J-18808-Ljbffr
