Accounting Manager – Hybrid Schedule Available

In search of an experienced Accounting Manager to join a well-established, profitable regional CPA firm located in Torrance, CA. This role involves client accounting, full charge bookkeeping, payroll, and more for a variety of clients. Managers oversee client accounts including client communications and ensuring team members execute engagements as scoped. Managers delegate responsibilities to Senior Accountants, Staff, and Interns, providing supervision, training, and reviewing work. They also participate in business development activities and client proposals.

Responsibilities

Lead engagement teams to ensure work aligns with scopes, such as:

• Client record maintenance
• Preparing financial packages
• Budget assistance for clients
• Dashboard creation and analysis

Meet client timelines and maintain clear communications. Interact with clients regularly and ensure team adherence to budgets. Invoice clients, oversee team training and business development.

Qualifications/Requirements

7-10 years' accounting experience, with recent account management experience. Strong understanding of double entry accounting and U.S GAAP. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Proficient in English with business level fluency. Travel required; proficiency in Excel and accounting software. Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Overtime work may be required.

Preferred qualifications

Experience with accounting software programs like Xero or NetSuite. Bi-lingual or second language proficiency. Specialized accounting knowledge in an industry or area. CPA license or equivalent.
