Description
Accounting Manager
We're partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its finance leadership team. This is a highly visible role that offers the opportunity to oversee core accounting operations, support strategic initiatives, and drive process improvements across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Perform account reconciliations, financial analysis, and variance reporting
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Partner with operations leadership to provide financial insights and decision support
- Support ERP, reporting, and accounting automation initiatives
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Mentor and develop accounting staff while promoting operational excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF, financial modeling)
- Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence/reporting tools
- Proven leadership, analytical, and process improvement skills
