Position Summary: An organized, motivated, and knowledgeable professional to manage the accounting close process and drive continuous improvements in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, coordinate, and lead a team in monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Oversee key accounting areas, review reconciliations, and maintain rollforwards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting per US GAAP and global accounting policies.
  • Apply proper accounting standards and controls, including journal entry reviews, general ledger reconciliations, and analytic reviews of monthly results with detailed analysis.
  • Ensure account reconciliations are timely, properly prepared, and reviewed.
  • Document procedures to analytically review key account fluctuations and follow up as needed.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual internal/external audit requests, liaise with external auditors, and ensure timely responses.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce close time while maintaining accuracy and integrity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify improvements and solve problems.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5+ years of accounting experience at Big 4 firms and/or public companies (tech industry preferred).
  • Team leadership experience managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including manual calculations without reliance on automated systems.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP compliance for accurate financial reporting and application of accounting standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA.
  • Experience with NetSuite.
  • Experience with BlackLine.
