Accounting manager- hospitality

As the Accounting Manager, you will serve as a vital steward of the property's financial integrity. Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will oversee day-to-day financial controls, operational accounting, and reporting excellence in a collaborative, high-standard environment that deeply values its team. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations; support month-end close processes, journal entries, and financial statement accuracy.
• Validate daily revenue streams in partnership with the Night Audit team; oversee credit card reconciliations, general cashier functions, house bank audits, and deposits.
• Support AP processes, review physical inventories, oversee group billing functions, and produce weekly payroll/labor analysis against budget forecasts.
• Partner with the Director of Finance and hotel department heads to analyze financial results, variances, and opportunities for performance improvement.
• Maintain strict adherence to internal controls, audit standards, and financial regulations, while mentoring and coaching junior accounting team members.

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, within a hospitality, hotel, or resort environment.
• Deep understanding of hotel accounting operations (revenue recognition, payables, payroll); high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized financial systems.
• High financial acumen, meticulous attention to detail, operational discipline, and the ability to manage multiple overlapping deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to partner effectively across diverse operational teams.
• M3 Accounting software experience
