POSITION SUMMARY
\n
Triten is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to own the full accounting function across our family of companies — the monthly close, consolidated reporting, budgeting, and cash forecasting. The breadth of the role, and its direct exposure to family office leadership, make it a strong step for an accountant ready to grow into a controllership.
\n
This is a hands-on standalone role with no direct reports. The Accounting Manager prepares the work as well as reviews it, with limited oversight — and real latitude in how it gets done.
\n
Reporting to the Director of the Family Office, the role works alongside the accounting personnel at each affiliated company and serves as the Company’s internal liaison to our outside tax preparers and insurance provider.

\n
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
\n
Close and Consolidated Reporting
\n
- \n
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close calendar and deliver accurate financial statements on schedule.
- \n
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaid amortization, and fixed asset depreciation schedules.
- \n
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including bank and credit card, and research and document variances.
- \n
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, including elimination entries and supporting schedules.
- \n
- Keep intercompany and due-to/due-from balances in agreement so they eliminate cleanly each period.
- \n
- Allocate shared and corporate costs across entities on a consistent, documented basis.
- \n
- Own the general ledger and chart of accounts, setting consistent account mapping and reporting formats across all entities.
- \n
- Coordinate close timing and cut-off dates with accounting personnel at each company, and review their submissions.
- \n
\n
\n
Accounts Payable and Weekly Cash Forecasting
\n
- \n
- Oversee accounts payable — invoice review and approval, vendor setup and validation, and payment runs.
- \n
- Schedule each weekly payment run from invoice due dates and terms so payments land on time, neither early nor late.
- \n
- Send leadership a weekly cash forecast covering all entities: expected receipts, scheduled disbursements, and projected balances by week.
- \n
- Maintain a forward schedule of committed obligations — payroll, payroll taxes, sales and use tax, insurance premiums, debt service, and rent — so no significant outflow is unplanned.
- \n
- Identify funding needs and alert leadership with enough lead time to arrange transfers or draws, not in the week the cash is required.
- \n
- Track cash by entity, flag intercompany transfers needed to keep each entity funded, and compare actual to forecast to improve accuracy.
- \n
- Support payroll accounting, including related accruals and reconciliations.
- \n
\n
\n
Analysis, Budgeting, and Reporting to Leadership
\n
- \n
- Analyze monthly and annual results to identify what changed, why it changed, and what it means for the business — not simply that a variance exists.
- \n
- Write variance commentary that stands on its own, so a reader understands the drivers without a follow-up conversation.
- \n
- Present monthly results and annual financial statements to leadership and answer questions in the moment, with supporting detail at hand.
- \n
- Trace and defend any balance, variance, or metric back to source documentation on request.
- \n
- Surface trends, unusual items, margin shifts, and emerging risks without waiting to be asked.
- \n
- Build the annual budget for each entity and the consolidated group, gathering assumptions from operations and leadership and challenging submitted inputs for reasonableness.
- \n
- Load approved budgets into the ERP so budget-to-actual reporting is produced systematically by entity and department each month.
- \n
- Maintain rolling forecasts, support capital expenditure budgeting, and alert leadership early when a budget or forecast will not be met.
- \n
\n
\n
Audit and Compliance
\n
- \n
- Serve as primary preparer and point of contact for external audit, review, and lender reporting requests.
- \n
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over the close and disbursement cycles.
- \n
- Ensure all reporting conforms to U.S. GAAP.
- \n
- Prepare and submit multi-state sales and use tax filings and other recurring filings handled in-house.
- \n
- Keep support for all balances, significant transactions, and filed returns organized and retrievable.
- \n
\n
\n
Tax Coordination
\n
- \n
- Maintain a tax calendar covering all federal, state, and local filing, extension, and estimated payment dates across every entity.
- \n
- Assemble and deliver year-end trial balances, supporting schedules, and requested workpapers proactively, on a schedule that protects every deadline.
- \n
- Respond promptly to the preparers’ requests and open questions so that no filing is delayed for missing information from the Company.
- \n
- Track, schedule, and record all tax payments — estimates, extensions, and balances due — and confirm timely remittance.
- \n
- Reconcile income and franchise tax accounts to filed returns and record the related provision or true-up entries.
- \n
\n
\n
Insurance Coordination
\n
• Compile and deliver renewal underwriting information well ahead of each renewal date: payroll by classification, revenue and receipts, vehicle and equipment schedules, property values, and loss history.
\n
• Maintain current schedules of insured assets and locations so coverage tracks actual exposure and the Company is not paying premium on retired, sold, or duplicated items.
\n
• Support annual premium audits, including workers’ compensation and general liability, with the underlying payroll and revenue detail.
\n
• Track premium payments and installment schedules, record accruals and prepaid insurance, and allocate insurance cost across entities.
\n
• Flag coverage gaps, exposure changes, and cost trends to leadership as they surface.
\n
\n
QUALIFICATIONS
\n
Required
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
\n
• Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience.
\n
• Hands-on experience with a major ERP (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Sage, or comparable).
\n
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
\n
\n
Preferred
\n
• CPA, CMA, or ACCA (active or in progress).
\n
• Industry background in industrial services, manufacturing, engineering and construction, or oil and gas.
\n
• ERP implementation or conversion experience as a functional accounting lead.
\n
• Familiarity with reporting and close-management tools (Power BI, SmartView, BlackLine, or similar).
