LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an Indianapolis distribution firm seeking an Accounting Manager. This role reports to the Controller and will oversee day-to-day accounting operations across AP, AR, and General Ledger functions.
This is a hands-on leadership role supporting a high-volume accounting environment. The company is seeking someone who can manage people, stay close to the details, support month-end close, maintain controls, and help improve processes as the business continues to grow.
Responsibilities:
Oversee AP, AR, and GL accounting functions
Manage accounting staff and team leads
Monitor deadlines and team performance
Support month-end and year-end close
Analyze variances and reporting trends
Maintain internal controls and procedures
Support process improvement initiatives
Assist with future ERP/system projects
Help train, coach, and develop staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Prior supervisory/management experience
Strong GL and month-end close experience
Understanding of AP, AR, and accounting operations
Advanced Excel skills
Public accounting experience is a plus
