Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our General Ledger (GL) team. This role is responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and driving process improvements across accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with deep technical accounting expertise and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.Responsibilities Manage and mentor a team of GL accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedbackOversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reportingReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for completeness and accuracyEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policiesAnalyze financial results and variances, providing insights to senior leadershipPartner cross-functionally with AP, AR, Payroll, and external auditorsLead audit support, including preparation of schedules and coordination with external auditorsMaintain and improve internal controls and accounting proceduresDrive process improvements and automation initiatives within the GL functionAssist with system implementations, upgrades, or ERP enhancements as neededQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory roleStrong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reportingExperience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionallyPreferred Qualifications Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environmentPrior experience managing month-end close in a multi-entity structureBackground in public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm)Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing teamsStrong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracyAbility to prioritize and manage multiple deadlinesContinuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency#J-18808-Ljbffr
