Client Overview: Our client, a leader in their industry, is looking to add an
Accounting Manager to their growing team.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $70,000 - $90,000
Position Overview: The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and partner closely with leadership to support the organization's continued growth. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for multi-entity accounting, month-end close, job costing, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and tax coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to lead the accounting function while improving processes, systems, and overall efficiency.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:- Oversee full close procedures, including budgeting, invoicing, reimbursements, expense reviews, reconciliations, fixed assets, and day-to-day accounting activities across multiple entities and projects.
- Review bank reconciliations, outstanding check lists, AP invoices, suspense accounts, monthly financial statements, and management-level financial reporting while supporting tax and audit preparation.
- Prepare and review draw packages, supporting documentation, project financial models, job status and closeout activities, project payments, and related accounting records.
- Train and mentor accounting staff, support special financial projects and escalated accounting matters, and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and overall efficiency.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:- 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate as a hands-on accountant while providing leadership to an accounting team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:- Experience coordinating tax-related activities and working with external CPA firms.
- CPA preferred, but not required.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
