Accounting Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager for a great organization in the Melville, NY area.

This role is at least a 3 month consultant position. This role is In Office. Full Time Days.

About the Role

This position is responsible for the preparation, review, and analysis of accounting data and monthly/annual financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement account analysis related to the business units or corporate

• Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial reports ensuring accuracy and reasonableness with consolidated reporting

• Prepare monthly cash forecasts and prepare weekly cash report for distribution

• Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly consolidated and separate legal entity cash flow statements in accordance with US accounting standards

• Coordinate and assist in the timely completion of the annual financial statement audit, including the preparation of the external consolidated financial statements and footnotes

• Coordinate and assist in the timely completion of the annual benefit plan financial statement audits, including the preparation of benefit plan financial statements and footnotes

• Obtain a thorough knowledge of the Company's reporting/consolidation systems

• Prepare investment analysis, entries and reporting

• Assist in management of the bonus program

• Ensure corporate policies are being adhered to

• Perform various special projects and analyses, as required

Qualifications

• Must have ability to work independently and exercise proper judgment

• Must have strong analytical skills

• Must possess strong skills in both oral and written communication

• Must have ability to summarize and present information and findings clearly and concisely

• Must have the ability to work with all levels of employees throughout the Corporation, from the lowest levels up to executive management, representing the group professionally

• Must have strong Excel or other spreadsheet skills

• Must have strong knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion systems or similar systems

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

• A minimum of 6 years of prior accounting experience is necessary

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
