Accounting Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a motivated Accounting Manager to join our financial services client's growing team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, assist with financial reporting, support month-end close activities, and help drive process improvements while partnering with leadership across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, account reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.

• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.

• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.

• Support external audits and regulatory reporting requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.

• Oversight of junior accounting staff

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.

• Prior experience in financial services, banking, lending, insurance, wealth management, or related industry preferred.

• CPA designation or CPA candidate strongly preferred.

• Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.

• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
