POSITION SUMMARYThe Accounting Manager oversees the daily operation o the accounting department, ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supports strategic financial planning. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to manage complex financial processes. A current CPA certification and a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience are required.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead and supervise the accounting team, including staff accountants and AP/AR personnel, providing coaching, training, and performance feedbackOversee the monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reportingPrepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAPManage general ledger operations, account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysisCoordinate external audits and serve as the primary point of contact for auditorsDevelop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure complianceSupport forecasting processes, including analysis of financial detailsMonitor cash flow, banking activity, and treasury functionsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations in multiple states: coordinate with external tax advisors as neededIdentify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance financial accuracyCollaborate with cross functional team, including HR, operations, and leadership to support business decisionsPrepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis for executive managementREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCertified Public Accountant (CPA) required7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead roleStrong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reportingProficiency with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP, or similar)Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholdersHigh level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detailPREFERED QUALIFICATIONSBackground in review or audit process for financial statementsExperience with process improvement or systems implementationsIndustry specific experience (Pharmaceutical manufacturing or repackaging, etc.)#J-18808-Ljbffr
