Accounting Manager

Kforce has a client in Saint Augustine, FL that is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead a high-performing accounting team within a growing construction organization. This role will oversee both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while ensuring accurate financial reporting, job costing, and operational alignment across projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction accounting within large organizations, along with proven leadership experience managing teams and supporting complex, high-volume operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of approximately 10 professionals across AP and AR functions
• Oversee full-cycle accounting processes, including billing, cash receipts, and vendor payments
• Ensure accurate job costing, budgeting, and cost tracking across multiple projects
• Support financial reporting, including preparation and review of financial statements
• Manage intercompany/project transactions and direct cost entries
• Partner with operational teams to ensure alignment between project accounting and financial reporting
• Review and improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
