Accounting ManagerWe're hiring an Accounting Manager who owns the close and builds the system behind it.This is a high-ownership, systems-focused role for someone who:Runs a clean, predictable closeSees inefficiencies and eliminates themBuilds scalable processes that reduce manual workOperates independently and improves everything they touchYou won't just maintain accounting operations—you'll modernize them.We are in the middle of an ERP buildout (Campfire) and actively working toward a faster, more automated close (goal: sub-3 day, long-term 1-day close). This role will be central to that transformation.This is a strong fit for someone who wants to:Move beyond “doing the close” designing the closeOwn systems, not just outputsBe a force multiplier in a lean environmentThis is a hybrid role out of our San Francisco office — currently three days per week, with the expectation that in-office time may evolve.Close Ownership & Accounting IntegrityOwn the month-end close end-to-end (sequencing, execution, timelines)Maintain balance sheet integrity across all accountsReview and prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedulesProactively identify and resolve issues before they impact closeSystems & Process DesignPlay a key role in ERP implementation and ongoing optimization (Campfire)Build scalable workflows and documentationIdentify and implement automation opportunities across accounting processesPartner with leadership on close acceleration initiativesCross-Functional PartnershipServe as a go-to accounting partner across the businessCollaborate with Finance, Product, and Ops on accounting and systems questionsSupport revenue recognition processes and automation effortsOversee AP operations and vendor management — review and approval, with transactional execution handled by support staffQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field6+ years of progressive accounting experienceDemonstrated ownership of or significant responsibility for month-end closeExperience with or exposure to ERP implementationsStrong understanding of US GAAPSystems-minded—you think in workflows, not tasksComfortable in a lean, high-autonomy environmentProactive, detail-oriented, and bias toward fixing root causesNice-to-havesCPABig 4 or public accounting backgroundSaaS / tech company experienceExposure to ASC 606Experience improving close timelines or automationJob PerksHybrid work with an office in San Francisco, CARegular in-person events to connect and collaborateCompetitive salary & equityMedical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and familiesFlexible Time OffCompany-paid parental, medical and caregiver leaveOther perks including mental health resources and tech reimbursementsCompensationThe base salary for this position will vary based on several factors, such as relevant experience, location and your approved internal leveling assessed during the interview process. The base salary range for this role is $165,000 - $185,000. Salary is one component of our total compensation package. This position also qualifies for equity (i.e., stock options) and is eligible for discretionary bonuses based on performance.The benefits available for this position include flexible time off, a 401K retirement plan, insurance (medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, short and long term disability), and 11 paid holidays.
