We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our leading engineering firm. This critical position will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting related to fixed assets, capitalization, and depreciation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, particularly in asset utilization and useful life, and will be proficient in developing and reporting on capitalization key metrics. Expertise in CAPEX reporting and ensuring intercompany and related fixed asset transactions are identified, properly recorded, and eliminated is also essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all accounting operations related to fixed assets, including capitalization and depreciation.
2. Conduct regular financial analysis on asset utilization and useful life, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
3. Develop and report on key capitalization metrics, providing insightful analysis for management decision-making.
4. Oversee CAPEX reporting, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
5. Ensure all intercompany and related fixed asset transactions are properly identified, recorded, and eliminated to maintain accurate financial records.
6. Utilize Blackline and Hyperion software to streamline accounting processes and enhance financial reporting capabilities.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial transactions are accurately reflected in the financial statements.
8. Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Advanced degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management, preferably within the engineering industry.
3. Proficiency in Blackline, Hyperion, and other relevant accounting software.
4. Extensive experience with fixed asset capitalization and depreciation.
5. Strong understanding of financial analysis related to asset utilization and useful life.
6. Experience in developing and reporting on capitalization key metrics.
7. Solid understanding of CAPEX reporting and intercompany transactions.
8. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
