Cherry Bekaert is seeking a highly skilled and hands‑on Accounting Manager to lead all accounting and financial operations for our growing construction company. This is an individual contributor role —you will serve as the sole person in accounting , owning the full cycle of financial management and reporting for the organization.The ideal candidate has construction industry experience , is proficient in QuickBooks , and thrives in an environment where they can take full ownership of accounting processes.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial ManagementPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsMaintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial dataOversee cash flow, reconciliations, and month‑end closeConstruction AccountingManage job cost accounting , including budget vs. actual trackingHandle project accounting , contract tracking, and cost allocationsProcess AIA billing and all construction‑related invoicingAccounts Payable & ReceivableManage AP , including subcontractor invoices and vendor paymentsManage AR , including progress billing and collectionsMaintain lien releases, COIs, and subcontractor compliancePayroll & ComplianceProcess certified payroll for approximately 28 employeesEnsure compliance with prevailing wage laws and reporting requirementsSystems & ProcessesUtilize QuickBooks for all accounting operationsRecommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyQualifications5+ years of accounting experience , with at least 3 years in constructionProficiency in QuickBooks requiredStrong understanding of job costing , project accounting, and AIA billingExperience processing certified payrollAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (but not required)#J-18808-Ljbffr
