Description

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead core accounting operations and support accurate, timely financial reporting. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on accounting work with team leadership, process improvement, and collaboration across departments.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain internal controls and help ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Review account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and other accounting deliverables.
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial insights, explain variances, and support decision-making.
  • Assist with audits, tax-related requests, and external reporting requirements as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance efficiency, and strengthen reporting processes.
  • Support, train, and coach accounting team members to promote accuracy, accountability, and professional growth.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Several years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a lead, senior, or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading accounting staff or managing project responsibilities.
  • Exposure to audit preparation, tax support, or process automation.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or growth-oriented environment.
