We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead core financial operations and ensure the integrity, compliance, and scalability of accounting processes in a highly regulated environment. Reporting to the Controller, this role will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable financial insights while strengthening internal controls aligned with CAS, FAR, and DFAR requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Lead all core accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Tax
- Own the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness
- Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages, delivering clear and reliable insights to leadership
- Partner with operational and functional teams to provide financial guidance and improve decision-making
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team aligned with business growth
- Review T&E reporting, AP check runs, and payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls, including ERP system governance (Deltek Costpoint preferred)
- Ensure compliance with CAS, FAR, DFAR, and GAAP standards across all accounting activities
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities
- Research and resolve complex accounting issues with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Support audits and maintain readiness in a regulated, defense-focused environment
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
Required Qualifications- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of CAS, FAR, and DFAR regulations
- Deep experience with General Ledger and financial reporting
- Proven leadership experience building and developing teams
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience across AP, AR, and Payroll functions
- ERP experience (Deltek Costpoint strongly preferred)
- ERP implementation, optimization, or system enhancement experience
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or business integrations
Other Requirements- Travel: 5 10% (occasional international exposure)
- Work Environment: Office setting with periodic interaction in manufacturing environments
- Requirements: Background investigation, drug screen, and U.S. Person status required
