The Accounting Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of Olberding Brand Family. This position is responsible for accounts payable processing, expense report administration, vendor and supplier maintenance, corporate card program management, payroll support, and general accounting activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, process-driven, and committed to maintaining strong internal controls while delivering exceptional service to employees, business partners, and suppliers. This role reports directly to the Controller and supports both the Finance and Accounting teams to ensure accurate financial records, efficient processes, and timely completion of accounting responsibilities. Duties and Responsibilities Include: - Process and resolve vendor invoices, discrepancies and payment inquires accurately and timely
- Ensure proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
- Manage payment processing and vendor communications
- Administer Concur, the company's expense management platform
- Provide employee training and support related to expense reporting
- Monitor compliance with travel and expense policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve expense management processes
- Manage vendor onboarding and supplier setup processes.
- Maintain vendor master file integrity and supporting documentation
- Ensure proper tax documentation is collected and maintained
- Support internal controls surrounding vendor creation and maintenance.
- Serve as primary administrator for the company's American Express Corporate Card Program
- Manage card issuance, maintenance, and account changes
- Monitor compliance with corporate card policies
- Assist employees with card-related inquiries and issues
- Support monthly reconciliation and reporting activities
- Support payroll processing activities and payroll-related reconciliations
- Assist with payroll data validation and reporting
- Coordinate with Human Resources and external payroll providers as needed
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Prepare account reconciliations and support schedules
- Assist with audit requests and documentation
- Support financial reporting and analysis activities
- Support ERP initiatives, system enhancements, and process improvement efforts
- Assist in developing and maintaining accounting procedures and documentation
- Participate in projects designed to increase efficiency, accuracy, and automation
- Complete ad hoc requests and special projects as assigned by the Controller and Finance leadership team
Qualifications Include: - Associate's or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 1-3 years of accounting, accounts payable, payroll support, or related experience preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software
- Experience with expense management platforms (Concur or similar preferred)
- Experience supporting corporate credit card programs preferred
