Accounting Specialist

About the Opportunity

A growing hospitality organization in the Broomfield area is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its accounting team. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple locations and play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger balances
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
• Review and maintain fixed asset records
• Support financial reporting and variance analysis
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Assist with audits and documentation requests
• Maintain accurate financial records and support process improvements
• Collaborate with property and operational teams to ensure financial accuracy

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Experience with AP, AR, and month-end close activities
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
