Financial Additions is partnering with a growing logistics company in the Arlington area to identify an experienced Accounting Specialist. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong payroll, accounts payable, and reconciliation experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain accurate payroll data entry
• Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and vendor payments
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Analyze payroll and billing records for errors, inconsistencies, and needed corrections
• Process and monitor employee garnishments
• Set up and maintain employee direct deposit information
• Assist with maintaining accurate employee and vendor records in accounting systems
• Support financial reporting and general accounting operations as needed
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, employees, vendors, and customers regarding accounting inquiries

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting, payroll, or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) required
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable, and bank reconciliation
• Experience handling garnishments and payroll deductions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

Preferred:

• Experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution environments is a plus but not required
