Financial Additions is partnering with a growing logistics company in the Arlington area to identify an experienced Accounting Specialist. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong payroll, accounts payable, and reconciliation experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain accurate payroll data entry
- Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and vendor payments
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze payroll and billing records for errors, inconsistencies, and needed corrections
- Process and monitor employee garnishments
- Set up and maintain employee direct deposit information
- Assist with maintaining accurate employee and vendor records in accounting systems
- Support financial reporting and general accounting operations as needed
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, employees, vendors, and customers regarding accounting inquiries
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounting, payroll, or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) required
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable, and bank reconciliation
- Experience handling garnishments and payroll deductions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Preferred:
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution environments is a plus but not required
