Penmac Staffing is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support the daily accounting operations for a busy manufacturing organization. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll functions, managing inventory-related accounting activities, and assisting with month-end reporting.Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll support, and inventory accounting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience with accounting and ERP software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities for accuracy and timeliness
- Process invoices, payments, credits, and customer billings
- Monitor aging reports and assist with collections and account reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Reconcile company credit cards, employee benefits, and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with payroll reporting and payroll processing functions
- Maintain inventory records, process inventory transactions, and support inventory audits
- Enter customer orders and support invoicing activities
- Prepare financial, statistical, and management reports
- Provide administrative and accounting support across departments
This Accounting Specialist position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and contributing to the success of a growing operation. Manufacturing or food production accounting experience is a plus.
