Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Accountant

• 
  
• Maintain accurate invoice processing by verifying approvals, entering invoices, and posting transactions in the accounts payable system.
• 
  
• Execute weekly check runs and prepare accurate positive-pay files for bank submission.
• 
  
• Monitor vendor activity and support approximately 100 invoices per week, with volume varying throughout the year.
• 
  
• Maintain petty cash and assist with related accounting processes as needed.
• 
  
• Provide professional, compassionate support to internal staff and external vendors via email and phone communication.
• 
  

Background Expected of the Accounts Payable Accountant

• 
  
• Associate degree in accounting or experience equivalent (+2 years).
• 
  
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, with responsibilities including invoice processing and check runs.
• 
  
• Excel proficiency with sorting, formatting, formulas, and file uploads.
• 
  

Salary Range

• 
  
• $50,000 - 65,000
•
