The Accounts Payable Clerk (AP) is a member of the Finance Team and is responsible for meeting deadlines set by the Finance Manager, complying with State, and Federal government, following all Company directives, policies, and procedures. Provides administrative and clerical support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verifies and pays invoices and /or employee expenses and executes timely payment.
Reconciles, balances, and maintains accurate accounting records.
Sets up and maintains vendors or suppliers in the Accounting system.
Ensures all transactions are timely and accurate and that expenses are accurately coded and allocated in Accounting system.
Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger or bank accounts on a regular basis.
Responds to inquiries from vendors or employees and researches and resolves concerns or discrepancies.
Assists in monthly, quarterly, and/or year end accounting procedures.
Efficiently and effectively produces high quality and accurate work.
Maintains full confidentiality at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned: purchasing online or local supplies and services for the needs at the factory site; checking-inspecting and adjusting inventory in the system; Participate in end-of-month, quarterly, and yearly inventory counts.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in English and Vietnamese.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and self motivation.
Strong mathematical skills; clerical skills; and accounting skills
Excellent knowledge and experience in Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
Ability to perform data entry with accuracy
Ability to adapt to new processes, products and technologies as required.
Ability to identify and seek needed information
Ability to calculate pricing, freight rates, sales analysis, etc.
Ability to multitask and work within a fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-discipline environment.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully and able to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision as well ability to work well with others.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, if has experience be preferred.
Associate Degree with minimum of 1 or over 1 year experience in a similar role.
Experience with SAP Software, inventory management, data entry and record keeping will be preferred.
