About the PositionShady Hill School is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The School has an annual budget of approximately $30 million, with over $130 million in assets and an endowment in excess of $80 million. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices and maintaining the Accounts Payable sub-ledger in Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, accurate, independent and self-motivated. This is a full-time, in-person, hourly, 12-month (year-long) position reporting to the Controller.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage the School's outgoing payments, ensuring vendor invoices are accurate, coded, approved, entered into the accounting system and paid on timeProcess credit memos and apply them properlyReconcile balance sheet accounts and subsidiary ledgers on a monthly basisPrepare schedules for the annual auditReconcile vendor statements and AP Aging reportsResolve discrepancies with vendors and address payment inquiriesProcess form 1099'sEnter direct debit and ACH payments into the accounting systemProcess expense reportsMaintain listing of certificates of insuranceManage W-9, ST-2 and ST-5 formsManage petty cashOther duties as assigned by the Controller or CFOQualifications3-5 years previous experience in AP processing requiredStrong organizational and communication skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects under the pressure of deadlines essentialExperience with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT (Accounts Payable module) is preferredExperience with AAtrix 1099 software is helpfulHighest regard for confidentiality and high ethical standards requiredStart date : August 3, 2026The range for this position is $33 - $40 / hour ($70,000 - $85,000 annually), depending on experience.How to applyPlease send a pdf including a cover letter and resume to: apply@shs.org.
