Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a growing commercial real estate company located in Chicago's River North neighborhood. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, close-knit, family-oriented team that is experiencing significant growth and acquisition activity.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of Accounts Payable experience. Commercial real estate experience is highly preferred, along with previous experience using Yardi or Skyline.

Position Details:

• Position Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

• Salary: $60,000-$70,000

• Location: River North, Chicago

• Worksite Type: Fully onsite

• Industry: Commercial Real Estate

Job Responsibilities:

• Process and code vendor invoices accurately and efficiently

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

• Maintain Accounts Payable reports, records, and files

• Respond to vendor inquiries and research payment issues

• Code expenses to appropriate accounts, properties, and cost centers

• Assist with general ledger reconciliations

• Review expense reimbursements and supporting documentation

• Support month-end close activities

• Assist with additional accounting projects as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable experience

• Commercial real estate experience highly preferred

• Yardi or Skyline experience strongly preferred

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
