Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift

Pay: $25-$28/hour

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing high-volume accounts payable responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval

• Enter invoices and payment information into the accounting system

• Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation

• Assist with check runs and electronic payments

• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues

• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding items

• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status

• Maintain accurate vendor records and account information

• Support month-end accounts payable activities

• Work with internal departments to resolve billing and invoice questions

• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation

• Assist with additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Previous accounts payable or related accounting experience

• Knowledge of invoice processing and general accounting procedures

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines

• Professional communication skills when working with vendors and internal departments
