Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily invoice processing using RightAngle and SAP. This position will be responsible for processing hydrocarbon-related invoices, attaching invoice documentation, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring invoices are processed accurately and timely.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience working with ERP systems, and the ability to research and resolve invoice-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices and pending payables using RightAngle and SAP.
• Monitor invoice postings transferred from RightAngle to SAP for payment processing.
• Identify discrepancies between invoices and corresponding trades/deals in RightAngle, research root causes, and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
• Review and act on RightAngle and SAP reports, including GR/IR, past-due invoices, and open debits/credits, to help ensure timely payments.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Respond to internal and external customer inquiries related to invoices, payments, and discrepancies.
• Provide assistance in identifying appropriate resolutions to invoice and payment issues.
• Maintain accurate invoice documentation and supporting records within applicable systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Accounts Payable / invoice processing.
• Experience working with SAP and/or RightAngle preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to research discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience processing hydrocarbon, crude, petroleum, petrochemical, transportation, ethanol, or industrial product invoices.
• Familiarity with trade/deal-based invoice processing.
• Experience working with ERP and financial systems in an energy or commodities environment.
