Accounts Payable Specialist
Houston, TX | Full-Time | Accounting & Finance

What You'll Do:
• Process supplier invoices by reviewing, verifying, and entering financial data into the accounting system.
• Route invoices through the approval process and ensure timely payment.
• Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs across multiple locations and currencies.
• Process urgent supplier payments as needed.
• Update accounts payable records and distribute payment remittance notices.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies while maintaining positive supplier relationships.
• Respond promptly to supplier inquiries and payment-related questions.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and reconcile accounts payable ledgers.
• Investigate outstanding invoices and ensure payments are completed accurately.
• Support monthly bank reconciliations and employee expense processing.
• Process insurance claim payments and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare supporting documentation for audits and compliance requirements.
• Help maintain accurate service partner data and ensure financial data integrity.
• Follow information security standards and data protection policies while handling confidential financial information.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.


What We're Looking For:
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent Accounts Payable experience.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Experience using accounting software; Sage X3 experience is a plus.
• Experience processing payments in multiple currencies.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods and occasional domestic or international travel when required.
