We're partnering with a well-established organization in the vibrant Broad Ripple area of Indianapolis to find an Accounts Payable Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys keeping financial operations running smoothly.

In this role, you'll be more than just processing invoices, you'll be a key contributor to the accounting team, building relationships with vendors, solving problems, and helping drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.

  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.

  • Verify approvals and coding prior to payment processing.

  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 documentation.

  • Respond to vendor inquiries and build positive working relationships.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

  • Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience.

  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.

  • Strong data entry and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.

  • Experience managing high-volume invoice processing.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM -5:30 PM

Duration: Up to 6 months with potential extension or temp-to-hire opportunity

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
